My opinion has proven to be unpopular but I haven't heard a good counter-argument, and honestly the top-answer-woman's story seems like a supporting anecdote to me: Being overweight to the point of obesity is an outward manifestation of serious inner problem...You know you're the fat friend in a group when you will not (no matter how hungry you are) be the first one to say you're hungry.
